I know I do not normally kill plant, but I have a wood frame home and there is a palm tree (baby one about 4 ft tall) growing up against the wall of my house. I am concerned about termite since we just did a major repair when we moved in…. I love the palm tree but thinking of I should leave it or remove it? We now have termite insurance, but I am not sure if I want ANY wood / tree / plant so up close against the house.

the thing that attracts termites to your house is mulch piled up against your slab. never cover up the weep holes in the slab.the termites will go right through them,usually termites get in old rotted trees.they need moisture to survive.that is why they like mulch.
